Who was EOKA?

The Ethniki Organosis Kyprion Agoniston (EOKA), which translates to "National Organisation of Cypriot Fighters", was a Greek Cypriot nationalist guerilla organization active from 1955 to 1959.

  • 1.End British rule and occupation of the island and not to tolerate any new occupier
  • 2.Achieve Enosis (union) of Cyprus with Greece.
