Loukas Louka graduated from Ayia Napa Primary School and was a student at the Greek High School in Famagusta3 when he died.
He was a member of the student groups of EOKA and his action was mainly participation in demonstrations and protests against the occupation of Cyprus by the British, throwing leaflets and writing slogans, both in Famagusta and Ayia Napa.
On the night of October 3, 1958, thousands of Britons, with the tolerance of the authorities, carried out all kinds of violence against the Greek citizens of Famagusta.
Residents of the city protested against the brutal treatment by British soldiers and clashed with them.
The conflict took on the dimensions of a general battle, with the result that more than 200 people were injured, two Greeks were killed and a little girl died of fear.
Loukas Louka, who was at that time in the house of a competitor and his classmate, started going to his own house, which was next door. British soldiers patrolling the streets grabbed him and beat him mercilessly with batons to kill him.
