Michail Olympios

The hero was born in the village of Lympia¹.

In march 1957, the hero was arrested by the British and imprisoned in the detention centers of Kokkinotrimithia² and Pyla³. The horrible and brutal torture to which he was subjected irreparably damaged his health.

Despite successive surgeries in Cyprus and abroad and the forced amputation of his hand, on February 15, 1969, at the age of just 32, he succumbed to fate, leaving behind inconsolable relatives and friends.
