He passed away on 05/01/2023 at the age of 88.
Both in the liberation struggle of EOKA and in the invasion of 1974, Andreas Orthodoxou was arrested and tortured initially by the British and later by the Turks, as a prisoner in Adana and Mersini. (Turkish mainland)
He was a member and agent of ELPIDA Xylofagou and supported the union financially and in other ways.
